\u00abDuring the September edition (of Lineapelle) we unveiled some important new aspects of the new Schmid. Now, we are asking the market to confirm that the new route we have taken is the right one\u00bb, explained Paolo Ciccarelli<\/strong>, chairman of Schmid. Lineapelle<\/strong> is the most important Italian trade fair for leather, fabrics and models for footwear. It runs from 25-28th of February at the Rho exhibition centre and come hot the heels of another important trade show, Premi\u00e8re Vision held in Paris from 10-12th of February. For the Schmid the Milanese appointment is paramount. \u00abIt is an excellent showcase to demonstrate to our clients the deep transformation underway<\/strong>. On display there will be of course our products but also the change achieved in the company\u2019s corporate culture, its increased internationalisation and focus on sectorial trends\u00bb, said Ciccarelli.<\/p>\n

The new 2016 spring\/summer collection<\/h2>\n

During the three days of the Milanese trade show, Schmid will present its 2016 spring\/summer collection<\/strong>, already previewed in the December Trend Book<\/strong>. The key products will be those that have made Schmid\u2019s history, such as cottons, nets, satins, PVCs and glitters along with new finishes that have already aroused the interest of many fashion houses. There will also be room for an evergreen like velvet, which is not part of the spring\/summer collection but completes Schmid product range.<\/p>\n

Among the velvet fabrics there will be Grazia<\/a>, the new 100% polyester velvet<\/strong> that complements the viscose version (Letizia) and the silk-viscose mix, that will be made available to clients from 1st of March, \u201cjust in time\u201d to be on the production schedule for the next autumn\/winter collection.<\/p>\n

Back to school with Schmid<\/h2>\n

Schmid\u2019s innovations at Lineapelle do not stop here. At 11.00 am on Thursday 26th, it will present the \u201cTextile talents contest<\/strong>\u201d, an initiative for international design schools and the young designers of the future, who will have the opportunity to pick up the gauntlet and create their projects using Schmid\u2019s fabrics and materials.<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s fabrics will also be exposed at Lineapelle\u2019s Area tendenze, that will host a selection of the trendiest materials picked from the exhibitors\u2019 spring\/summer collections.<\/p>\n
