With this tally, the Paris show confirms itself as the most important global venue for the industry.<\/p>\n<p>But Lineapelle also demonstrated its international importance, with the number of visitors increasing 9% from last year. There were more than 21,000 people from 110 countries. A significant increase, consolidated by a record number of exhibitors: 1,241, up 6% from 2015.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-6635 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.schmid.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/2016_09_Lineapellepdf3.jpg\" alt=\"2016_09_lineapellepdf3\" width=\"665\" height=\"256\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.schmid.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/2016_09_Lineapellepdf3.jpg 665w, https:\/\/www.schmid.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/2016_09_Lineapellepdf3-250x96.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.schmid.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/2016_09_Lineapellepdf3-350x135.jpg 350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 665px) 100vw, 665px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Paris and Milano: what is the public looking for?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>But what were the characteristics of the two events? In what way were the two shows different?<\/p>\n<p>Our feeling is that the visitors at Premi\u00e8re Vision sought mainly ideas and inspiration rather than specific materials for precise products. So a company\u2019s capacity to be creative and inspirational can make the difference, enabling to foster synergies and partnerships.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, the visitors at Lineapelle were attracted by area tendenze (the trend zone), a kind of multi-brand pavilion where the materials and fabrics of various manufacturers, including Schmid, were displayed. An innovation introduced this year that worked out well, offering greater visibility to the companies capable of innovating and grasping the market\u2019s needs.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-6636 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.schmid.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/2016_09_Lineapellepdf4.jpg\" alt=\"2016_09_lineapellepdf4\" width=\"665\" height=\"256\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.schmid.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/2016_09_Lineapellepdf4.jpg 665w, https:\/\/www.schmid.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/2016_09_Lineapellepdf4-250x96.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.schmid.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/2016_09_Lineapellepdf4-350x135.jpg 350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 665px) 100vw, 665px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Schmid\u2019s point of view<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00abWe\u2019ve realised that trade show visitors no longer only look for products,\u201d explains Schmid\u2019s chairman and CEO Paolo Ciccarelli. \u201cVisitors passed between the stands looking for inspiration, ideas, creativity. Companies to be competitive have to be inspirational. Comparing the Parisian and Milanese shows, we believe that Premi\u00e8re Vision could improve in that field, drawing inspiration from the great work done at Lineapelle. The participating schools were the London College of Fashion, the Art Future School of Design of Saint Petersburg and Accademia del Lusso of Milan.
