Once again Schmid<\/strong> is close to young people and is committed to their training. The starting point is its collaboration with the course on Textile Culture of Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, in Milan, to whom Schmid has supplied textiles and other materials that the students will use for their creations and experiments.<\/p>\n

The course on Textile Culture is part of a two-year specialisation in Fashion Design, organised by the professor Livia Crispolti<\/strong>, that started a few weeks ago and will continue for the whole term.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\"tb-ss182\"<\/p>\n

Schmid\u2019s materials stimulate creativity <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cIt is both a theoretical and hands-on course. After an initial phase during whch we study the products available in the market as well as the historical and theoretical aspects of the materials, we move on to organising a project and finally to its execution with the use of the loom,\u201d the professor explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cFurthermore, during the course, the students study the various jobs in the industry. Every year we organise projects with textile and fashion companies. This year we are very happy to carry out a project with Schmid. The high-quality of the materials the company is supplying us and the huge variety of finishings not only represent a concrete help but also stimulate the students\u2019 fantasy and creativity. Thanks to Schmid, the students have the opportunity to become familiar with the materials and to each develop their own project, reinventing and remaking these materials.\u201d<\/p>\n

Schmid and Accademia di Belle Arti: two cultures that blend<\/strong><\/p>\n

The course of Textile Culture<\/strong>, academic training in a decorative art with an antique tradition that has long had roots in our region, enables students to discover and experiment three fundamental components of our sector: artisanal, artistic and industrial.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe origin of our collaboration with Accademia di Belle Arti<\/strong> is the will to unite two segments that too often, in Italy, remain separate: high-level artistic training and manufacturing. We thoroughly believe in these synergies. But above all we believe in today\u2019s youth, who will be the designers of tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n

The course finishes at the end of January. But the students\u2019 work will continue after that. We will follow up with them and continue to discuss their work. And we will show you the best creations produced with Schmid\u2019s materials.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
