A TrendBook for all tastes

A TrendBook for all tastes

There are not only new items in the autumn-winter 2016-2017 collection. Along with them, there are also Schmid’s great classics but revisited to be in sync with the new trends. To unveil them will be Vittorio Onetti, the company’s general manager

Several weeks have elapsed since the start of the road show that unveiled, in Italy and abroad, Schmid’s TrendBook. The focus is on the trends of the autumn-winter 2016/2017 collection, which is divided into four areas: Blend, Groove, Power Gender and Dessert. «For each of these worlds, Schmid doesn’t only propose novelties, but also great classics revisited according to the new trends», according to Vittorio Onetti, the company’s general manager, who presents the four research areas of the TrendBook through its most significative products.

Blend, British style meets luxury outdoor

The Blend style mixes the formal English style with luxury outdoor. The ideal solution for the refined client attentive to novelty but who is also nostalgic of the pomp of the classic style. «With this in mind, Schmid has reproposed one of its great classics: Duk, a bird’s eye twill in two colours with a refined interlacement with a slightly fulled aspect», explains Onetti.

In line with the traditional English look is Polette, a jacquard that combines a macro houndstooth design with a bouclé weave, for a sophisticated blend between tradition and modernity.

Groove, the 70s and rock music

Who chooses the Groove style likes glamour, the typical flamboyance of the 70s to which is added the soul of Californian rockers. «For that consumer – explains the general manager -, Schmid has chosen one of its greatest classics: an embossed velvet with an astrakhan effect. A captivating and sensual item. Meanwhile, Luxor, which is very linked to the 70s, is an interesting sable fabric with an iridescent lurex thread, completely in sync with Schmid’s DNA, which has always been a reference in the luxury industry».

Power Gender, between luxury and gangsta rap

Power Gender aims for a totally different target, the style is for those who consider rap their bastion. «The representative of this world- pursues Onetti –  is Canvas Glacè, that blends the rough texture of canvas and the technical features of a polyurethane laminate. Closer to the world of sport, the meshLittle Bilioso, created with plastic material is ideal for modern armours, while closer to the world of luxury is the refined Abstract Flock, a nylon (technical) flocked felt with abstract patterns».

Dessert, sensuality to the extreme

Last but not least, Dessert celebrates excess and female sensuality. It is a refined style, very sexy, that predilects gems, layers, the world of iridescence and glass. «For this style, Schmid proposes an evergreen – concludes Onetti -. It is Moiré, available in a large range of colours. With it we have added a new iridescent embroidery on a tulle netting with animal patterns: Crochetè, a refined, sensual and modern item».
