Schmid’s collaboration with Milan’s cooperative Alice continues

Cooperative Alice’s new collection using Schmid materials is presented to the public

Schmid is proud to continue supporting the efforts of the Milan cooperative Alice (www. cooperativalice.it) that produces and sells in its store in Via Gaudenzio Ferrari 3, Milan, apparel designed by Rosita Onofri and mainly made by the sartorial workshop of the Milanese prison Casa Circondariale San Vittore with the goal of offering a job opportunity to purposely trained inmates. The collections are made using tailoring techniques and are unique for their style and the quality of the clothing and the materials used.

The new collection was presented to the public at the cooperative’s Milan store on 12th October. Numerous items made with materials provided by Schmid featured prominently in the store window.

Among the products showcased were an original and elegant handbag, striking for its beauty and the attention to details. The item was made with one of Schmid’s most popular materials: an embossed velvet with a rice grain effect obtained thanks to microprinting that creates a three-dimensional pattern.

The store is a place where one can see the daily work of people who are finding through tailoring an opportunity to redeem themselves and to reintegrate in society as well as to appreciate the cooperative’s commitment, delivered every day with determination, creativity and professionalism. For these reasons it is worth a visit and very special attention. Especially during a period in which we seek beautiful and affordable presents with a true story behind them.
