Contemporary romance: Shape of Flowers is the new line of fabrics by Schmid for 2021 Spring/Summer

Thirteen fabrics that reflect contemporary, graphic, cool and digital luxury

With spring just around the corner, delicate proposals with the most varied hues can often be seen flourishing in the collections dedicated to this season. Yet, true innovation lies in the ever-different twists given every year by fashion to the world of flowers.

The “geometric nature” of flower buds, corollas and petals is at the heart of the second mood of Schmid’s 2021 Spring/Summer Collection: Shape of Flowers. It is a mood that reflects transformation and slight movement: a chrysalis that mutates into a butterfly, a sprout that comes out of the earth, a point that becomes a pattern.

Thirteen fabrics that reflect contemporary, graphic, cool and digital luxury, flowers that create and bend nature toward a new, fresh and contemporary reality that is detached from the semantic value of flowers viewed as “symbols of romance”. Jacquard fabrics like Taylor or Noctis, all paired with lurex, are developed on floral, degradé, pixelated patterns, or patterns featuring polka dots or iridescent stripes.

Organza, either simple (Odette) or wrinkled (Vivienne), stands out for its extremely delicate hues, which give fabrics an almost impalpable light feel.

Tulle (Summer Crush), in addition to being printed with glitter, is embroidered with light and lively floral patterns.

Satin (Ohana) is printed with a set of flowers and polka dots, creating a surreal and contemporary mix.

Colours are delicate, bright and ultra-glamorous: pink, white, gold, black, silver, gunmetal and blue.

Be enchanted by the splendour of these fabrics and come to visit us at Lineapelle, pavilion 9 (stand G21,G29-H22,H30), from 19 to 21 February!
